Divine Protection
Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. Ephesians 6:11
The spiritual battle we face requires divine protection. Paul calls us to “put on” God’s armor because we cannot stand firm in our own strength. Paul continues in Ephesians 6:11, urging us to “put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes” (emphasis added). Here, the metaphor of armor reminds us that we are in a battle—a spiritual battle.
We must be prepared, fully equipped, and vigilant. The devil is strategic, laying traps and temptations to draw us away from God’s truth. We can’t afford to be partially armored; every piece matters. Think about the areas of your life where you might be vulnerable. Are you fully clothed in God’s armor? Today, reflect on the importance of spiritual preparation. What parts of God’s armor have you been neglecting? Once you identify it, why don’t you commit to putting on the full armor of God, recognizing that each part is crucial for standing firm against the enemy’s attacks.
Prayer for today: All commanding Father, help me to be vigilant and to put on every piece of Your armor daily, so I may stand firm in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
