Daily Allowance
For it is time to seek the Lord, until He comes…. Hosea 10:12
Do you know that we all spend exactly the same amount of time every single day of our lives? Each of us is only given 24 hours, or 1440 minutes, or 86400 second each day. That is our daily allowance. And the crazy part about it, is we either use it or lose it. We cannot save it, store it, or even give it away.
How you spend your time has to be the single most important consideration of every single soul. One of the commonest expressions we often say is “if only . . .” And what follows is usually a description of something useless we spent time doing. Today what is your ‘if only?’ Do you know that you have the opportunity right now to change it? Today you are given 24 hours, 1440 minutes, or 86400 seconds to put one foot in front of the other and make it happen.
No wonder Hosea wrote “it’s time to seek the Lord”. He knew that if we miss out on the most important search we can ever make, we will never be able to experience God and a rightful relationship with Him.
Prayer for today: Lord, I’m sorry, for occasions when I’ve spent my time unwisely. I seek you afresh today and long to be fully restored in You. Amen.
