Comfort Shared
Let us give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the merciful Father, the God from whom all help comes! He helps us in all our troubles, so that we are able to help others who have all kinds of troubles, using the same help that we ourselves have received from God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Having experienced God’s work in our lives, we have the privilege and responsibility to share that needed help with others. We are to take the comfort that we have received and use it to help those God places in our lives. Did you lose your job? Find a person going through that experience now. Have you faced divorce? Who is more equipped than you to minister to a person going through a divorce today? Gone through the season of wayward children? Who is best to comfort the mother of a teenage child then you are. Have you lost a loved one? There is no shortage of grieving people. Did you experience illness, then you are the best person to comfort someone else going through a similar season. Did God deliver you from an addiction? All around you are people stumbling and struggling. God’s work in our lives serves a twofold purpose. God powerfully worked in your life; now, it is time to share His power with someone else.
Today, you can transform your pain into purpose. Your pain is not in vain. It becomes a powerful tool when placed in the hands of a compassionate God. Your journey, marked by His comfort, transforms into a purposeful ministry. Embrace the opportunity to share your testimony, turning your pain into a proclamation of God’s goodness.
As you navigate life, understand that God strategically places people in your path who are experiencing what you once faced. Illness, parenting challenges, financial struggles, job loss, divorce, grief — these are not chance encounters but opportunities for you to share the tailored comfort God has woven into your life.
Prayer for today: Heavenly Father, thank You for comforting me in my troubles. Open my eyes to see the opportunities around me. Lead me to those who need the comfort I have received from You. May my pain become a testament to Your goodness and a source of hope for others. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
