Better Together
Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2
When Jesus walked this Earth, He embodied the fullness of God in human form. Despite His divine power and authority, He intentionally surrounded Himself with companions and shared His journey with them.
Have you ever paused to consider this aspect of Jesus’ life? If the Son of God sought companionship and community, how much more do we need it in our own lives? We are inherently wired for connection, designed to walk alongside one another. Our lives find greater fulfillment and purpose when lived in fellowship with others.
Jesus handpicked twelve individuals to be His disciples, and they became His close companions. They journeyed together, shared meals, and experienced life side by side. Jesus didn’t go it alone, recognizing that His impact was magnified, and His journey enriched by the presence of others.
Who are the people you are journeying with? Have you allowed others into the depths of your life, revealing your authentic self? Or do you find yourself keeping people at arm’s length, believing the misconception that you can manage on your own?
Could it be that your burdens feel overwhelming because you’re shouldering them alone? Perhaps you’re exhausted from the weight of pretending everything is fine when, in reality, you’re struggling to hold it together. What if you allowed someone else to share the load and walk alongside you for a while?
