Believe It
By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. Hebrews 11:3
If you can see it, then you can believe it. By faith means all we need to do is believe it and allow Gods will to be done. Do you have enough faith to actually see what you need or are asking for? If you truly desire that something in the Lord, paint that picture in your mind today – and watch to see the miracle that is possible when faith takes a picture and allows it to develop over time.
What do we wish for? What are we hoping for? Do we hope that things would be different in our lives? Or someone else’s life? Do we hope that the situation will turn around and work in our favor? Or wish we had something more, or were somewhere else, or that something would go away? The words I wish … I wish … I wish… continues to weigh us down. Some cross their fingers. Some cry out in distress. But to what avail? Wishing doesn’t do anything or change anything. It’s basically just a strong emotion. It’s all centered around me – I wish, I want, I need. Instead we ought to believe that God can, He will, and He is able.
This is the choice: I choose to act AS IF God loves me, AS IF He knows about this problem and AS IF He has the answer. I BELIEVE IT. So, my ‘grain of mustard-seed’ is not a small faith. It is just the time that it takes to make the choice, based on no visible evidence at all (Hebrews 11:1), that I’m going to trust that God knows about my problem and has the answer. Then I’ll act on that choice.
Prayer for today: Father God, I thank You so much for Your strength and willpower You have given me. I praise You for helping me overcome the hungers and aches, the temptations and trials. I ask You to help me continue to see the bigger picture for my future, to continue for me to believe in greater things to come. I choose to believe in You. choose to look up to You at all times, not down towards the circumstances, even though You sometimes seem so distant. I know You are with me always and will never let me go. Thank You for Your unfailing love for me, through Jesus Christ. Amen.
