Be the Beacon of Light
You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Matthew 5:14
There exist various forms of light. There is the illuminating light that banishes darkness and allows those who are lost to find their way. There is the light of compassion and love, whose warmth and solace embrace everything it graces. And then, there is the light that reveals the path to a brighter, more harmonious world. As followers of Christ, it is our calling to embody each of these lights.
In times of profound darkness, the search for light becomes a paramount endeavor. Those who have been touched by the brilliance of light must, in turn, become beacons of light for one another. This is a message for us to hold onto as believers.
As followers of Christ, our presence in the world should emulate this radiant light in the darkness. While none of us can single-handedly provide all the light the world needs. However, every one of us has the capacity to emit some form of light. Each day, we can ask ourselves a simple yet profound question, “What kind of light can I radiate for the Lord today?”
Prayer for today: God, grant us the strength to walk in this world as bearers of Your light. Help us find joy in Your boundless love and inspire us to reflect Your divine glory in all that we do. Amen.
