Arise
When he finally came to his senses, he said to himself, “At home even the hired servants have food enough to spare, and here I am dying of hunger! I will go home to my faither….” Luke 15:17,18
In Luke 15 the Prodigal son was at a place of desperation. He spent all his money and was now rotting away from hunger, contemplating eating pig feeding. He had some to end of himself looking for a way out, and this is where God likes to meet us for His miraculous turn around. In other words, Luke 15 reminds us that God is not just receiving sinners; He is looking for them and eagerly awaiting their coming. He has his eye out for them. Will you arise and return to Him?
Throughout the Bible we read about the select, God’s chosen people who were delivered when they had a hunger and thirst for righteousness. Like the prodigal son, are you about to pass out and give up on life? Well, I am here to tell you to arise and go to your Father’s house because in His presence you will find joy unspeakable and full of glory.
There is always hope for reconciliation. Pray for it. Expect it. And never give up on God! Turn to God, trust Him, and allow Him to lead you back into His welcoming arms.
