All Seasons of Life
Even when I walk through the darkest valley…you are close beside me. Psalm 23:4
Why is it that we know the 23rd Psalms so well? From generation to generation, this passage has been passed down. In reading it refreshed I now understand. The words of Psalm 23 embrace every stage and experience of life – seasons of peace and tranquility, times when we are facing enemies and that time of life which we all have to go through one day – the valley of the shadow of death.
Through it all, God has promised to be right by our side. With arms stretched out open, He is there waiting for you. God is there to comfort and protect you. There is a certain connection one must have to be in this place of peace even through a rough patch.
This is the testimony of the saints of God. The Lord is their comforter at their greatest moment of personal need. No wonder Paul referred to Him as “the God of all comfort who comforts us in all our troubles” in 2 Corinthians 1:3 & 4.
