Above and Beyond All Limits
Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us. Ephesians 3:20
Sometimes, in order to obtain things that are truly worth having, we have to go beyond what we consider normal, comfortable, or possible. There are moments when God calls us to step beyond our limitations and trust Him for what we cannot accomplish on our own. In order to go above and beyond all limits, we must first get to know a God who lives in the realm of the impossible. We must believe that God can, and we must trust that God will even when we don’t know how, when we don’t know when, or when we cannot see the outcome. Ephesians 3:20 reminds us that God is able to do “far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think.”
Think about that. God is not limited by our imagination. He is not limited by our circumstances, our resources, or our abilities. And He is certainly not limited by our limitations. Sometimes the greatest limitation is not what is happening around us, but what we believe is possible within us.
God wants us to stretch our faith. He wants us to trust Him beyond what we can see and beyond what we can understand. Through the power of the Holy Spirit working within us, God can accomplish far more than we could ever accomplish in our own strength.
Prayer for today: Heavenly Father, thank You that You are able to do far more than I could ever ask, think, or imagine. Help me not to allow fear, doubt, or my own limitations to keep me from what You are calling me to do. Give me the faith to step beyond what is comfortable and trust You for what seems impossible.
