A Personal Encounter

Come near to God and he will come near to you. James 4:8

Explaining faith in God is a challenging endeavor. It’s an intangible and indescribable quality that can be difficult to put into words. The real essence of faith often eludes description until you’ve had a personal encounter with God. Faith is a journey, a continuous walk with God that requires us to trust and believe even when we cannot see the path ahead.

When you come to know God on a profoundly personal level, you experience His reality firsthand. Your faith deepens because it’s no longer built solely on what others have conveyed to you but is now an intrinsic part of your being. This underscores the significance of each believer having a “God moment” — a personal encounter with God that allows you to truly know Him. Such an experience awakens the Holy Spirit within your life and unlocks the boundless power of God.

Prayer for today: Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your boundless favor. Today, I acknowledge that everything flows from You, and for this reason, I will forever extol Your name. Amen.
