A New Sound

A New Sound
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God`s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow. Not even the powers of hell can separate us from God`s love. Romans 8:38
1 Thessalonians says that we ought to ‘give thanks in all circumstances’. This sound of worship can be a challenge to most of us. It is challenging to think of constantly giving thanks in all circumstances. It goes against all our natural tendencies because the flesh wants to kick and scream – this is not fair. But if we go back to God’s Word, we`ll see that the Lord says we`ll experience hardships, and being a follower of Christ doesn`t guarantee a problem-free life. All He asks is for us to trust Him, to wait patiently and to hold on. During these moments I want to remind you of the words to the song Cornerstone written by Hillsong:
Christ alone, Cornerstone
Weak made strong in the Savior’s love
Through the storm, He is Lord, Lord of all.
Today you can rejoice; releasing your sound of praise. I want to remind you that God has a perfect plan for our lives, so let`s rest in the knowledge that Paul shares with us in Romans 8:38. `And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God`s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow. Not even the powers of hell can separate us from God`s love`.
We can rejoice, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know our God and He has never failed us yet.
Prayer for today: Loving Father in heaven I thank You that You know all my fears and insecurities. Please strengthen my faith and my inner man, so that no opposition will discourage me. I trust in You and lean into You for understanding. Lead me through this unknown, keep my eyes focused on You. I ask for You to lend me Your strength to carry on. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
