A New Heart: Cleaned Up
And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. Ezekiel 36:26
God is taking us from the old and sprinkling clean water to make us new. He wants to bring us to Himself, freeing us from the bondage of sin, discouragement and the sea of unforgiveness. The things which hold us back from experiencing true peace that He has for His children. And He knows that the only way we can truly experience life is by being free and renewed through Christ Jesus.
Today we are invited to get cleaned up! Let’s take off the mask and be real with God, so He can show us the areas where we need renewal. Sin is ugly and embarrassing. It’s the blemish we don’t want to face, the stain on our hearts that we try to cover up. But when we admit we’re a mess, God can show up, clean us up, and do the unexpected in our lives.
You can drink from the water of life today. Come to the Lord, take His yoke upon you, and learn from Him. All you need to do is believe—believe that He can do what He promised He would.
God has the power to transform your life.
God has the power to forgive.
God has the power to save.
God will give you living water.
He will give you a new heart.
You will become a new creature.
Be encouraged today, knowing that we are all works in progress. God is not finished with us yet. Each day is a step closer to the transformation He is working in our hearts.
Prayer for today: Heavenly Father, thank You for another day of life. Help me to remove the masks I hide behind and to be real with You. Show me the areas in my life that need renewal. I trust that Your power can transform me, forgive me, and save me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
