A Mother’s Love
Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions. 1 John 3:18
The first Mother’s Day was celebrated in West Virginia in 1912. Mothers were to be recognized as an important part of our lives. The heart of a mother is like a rare jewel. They love their children during the worst and best of times.
In His design of a physical universe God chose to create human beings in the form of male or female; He devised and He knows the different attributes of men and women, fathers and mothers, who together are created to show the character of God. Whether she is related to you by genetics or love, each of us has someone to celebrate this Sunday.
The nurture of a mother makes up a crucial part of our lives. So whether it is a Hallmark card, dinner out, hug, or a kiss on the cheek, we should show we care. It is so important to give our love to these dedicated women in our lives and don’t take them for granted.
Isaiah 49:15… Can a woman forget her nursing child and have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, but I will not forget you.”
Prayer for today: Father God, whether she was given to us through birth or from your heart, help us to see clearly Your design for the woman figure you placed in our lives. Amen.
