A Mind Anchored in Peace
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. Philippians 4:8
Today marks the final week in the month of May. Starting Sunday, we will be in a new month, and 6 months into the New Year. You can either look back and say, “It’s amazing what God has done in my life in just five short months!” and shout hallelujah, or you can look back and say “I can’t believe I’ve been through this much in such a short time.”
Whichever category you find yourself in today, take a moment to realign your heart. Remember what you’ve heard, learned, and know to be true in God’s Word—and hold onto that. God’s truth doesn’t shift with our seasons. His peace is steady, and His promises endure.
Peace doesn’t come from knowing all the answers or controlling the future. It comes from focusing on the character and promises of God, and allowing His truth to reframe our present moment.
Prayer for today: Heavenly Father, to anchor my thoughts in what is true and eternal, not in what is fleeting or fearful. Let my mind dwell on the beauty of Your Word and the goodness of who You are. Amen.
