A Love That Never Runs Out
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23
Last week, Starbucks launched its famous Red Cup Day, and with it came the phrase: “While supplies last.” It’s a phrase that sparks urgency, reminding us that opportunities can be fleeting. If you want that red cup, you have to act quickly because once it’s gone, it’s gone. This got me thinking—how often do we approach life, faith, and even God’s blessings with a sense of urgency? Do we recognize the precious opportunities God places before us, or do we let them pass by, assuming there will always be more time?
It’s a fun concept for a coffee promotion, but it also highlights a reality we often face in life: scarcity. Supplies run out, opportunities fade, and resources can be exhausted. But what about God’s love and care for us? Is it limited? Does it come with a “while supplies last” condition? Thankfully the answer is no! We cannot exhaust the love of God. Lamentations 3:22-23 tells us the answer clearly: “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning.”
God’s love is infinite, His grace is unending, and His faithfulness is constant. Unlike the red cups at Starbucks or the fleeting resources of this world, God’s love for His children never runs out. Here is the truth:
- While supplies of joy, patience, or energy may run low in your life, God’s supply of strength is inexhaustible.
- While relationships may falter and fail, God’s love remains steadfast and unwavering.
- While the world offers temporary satisfaction, God offers eternal fulfillment.
You never have to worry about being too late or about God running out of love for you. There’s no fine print, no expiration date, no limited supply. His love is abundant and available to you every moment of every day.
When you’re feeling empty or weary, remember that God’s grace is fresh every morning. When you’re overwhelmed, know that His peace surpasses all understanding. And when life feels like it’s running on empty, turn to the One whose resources are boundless.
Prayer for today:
Lord, thank You for Your steadfast love that never ceases. While the things of this world may run out, Your care and grace never do. Remind me daily of the fullness of Your love and the endless supply of Your mercy. Help me to rest in the assurance that no matter what, You will always be there for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
