A Light in the Darkness
I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. John 8:12
The world into which Jesus was born was full of darknessāspiritual, political, and personal. Yet, in the middle of that darkness, God sent His Son as the light of the world. Jesus illuminates our path, brings clarity to confusion, and dispels fear with His presence.
The promise of Christmas is wrapped in the glow of a single truth: Jesus is the Light of the World. Just as the shepherds in the fields were surrounded by the brilliance of heavenly glory on that first Christmas night, so too, Jesus illuminates the darkest corners of our lives.
As we celebrate the birth of Christ, let us remember that His arrival is a declaration that darkness will never have the final word. Like a candle in a dark room, His light not only guides us but also warms us with the assurance of His peace.
Prayer for today: Lord, thank You for being my light in the darkness. Shine in my heart and guide me in Your truth. Amen.
