A Joyful Offering
Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. Psalm 95:1-2
The act of singing is a beautiful and powerful expression of worship. Throughout the Bible, we find numerous references to singing praises unto the Lord. Psalm 95:1-2 invites us to join in this glorious chorus of worship: “Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.”
Singing unto the Lord is an invitation to express the joy that dwells in our hearts as believers. Singing is a vehicle for expressing our gratitude. It allows us to recount the blessings, both big and small, that God has poured into our lives. It’s not a mere duty but a joyful response to God’s goodness and salvation. When we sing with joy, we declare to the world and to our own hearts that our God is worthy of all praise.
The Lord is our steadfast Rock. When we sing, we acknowledge His unwavering presence in our lives. Our songs become a proclamation of our faith, a reminder that no matter the storms, we are anchored to the Rock of our salvation.
This week I encourage you to keep singing unto the Lord. As we lift our voices in song, we remember His faithfulness and give thanks from the depths of our hearts
