Master Key
I have called heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessings and cursing; therefore choose life. Deuteronomy 30:19
The Bible warns us that life will be full of trials and tribulations, but also teaches us that we can experience God`s peace and joy in the midst of every problem. The question is – which key will you use? Do we trust the Lord without a doubt and use the key of faith? OR do we live in fear and use the key of doubt? So many people are weighed down by the burdens they are carrying – burdens of guilt, depression, sickness, rejection, fear, control and many more. We can never experience freedom in our body, soul and spirit if we continue to use the wrong key dragging these burdens along.
We were created to live lives of freedom in the Lord, to experience deep joy and peace, to serve the Lord without a moment`s doubt and to experience His total acceptance of who we are in Him. Today be reminded that we have access to freedom through obedience. In order to understand what freedom is you must accept that you were at one point in bondage. You are the only person in control of your freedom, you hold the master key! Will you live free using the key of obedience or will you remain in bondage using the key of self?
Remember you are where you are today because of the doors you opened, or did not open, with your master key. God wants us to be free. He wants us to trust Him even when we cannot see what He is doing. This happens when we are in tune with the Holy Spirit direction over our lives. We need to let go of everything that is holding us back from experiencing this inner freedom in the Lord and allow Him to mold us into becoming the person God sees us to be.
Prayer for today: Dear Lord, I realize that there are burdens in my life holding me back from the freedom You have for me – some of these burdens I allowed into my life and others were thrown onto me for using the wrong key. I am taking the first step by choosing to release these burdens unto You. Today I am making the choice to stick with faith. Please show me how to live a life of freedom in You and fill my heart with godly joy. Amen.
