The Word

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. John 1:1, 2

In the beginning, before anything else existed, was the Word of God. This word of Life, who was with the Father even before the creation of the world. Together with the Spirit they were separately, and corporately, God. And God said, “Let there be light.” How amazing it is to think of it. I’ve seen the sun rise from the depths of the ocean but I am sure this does not even begin to compare to the beauty created in the beginning of time.

The world came into being and mankind was born, there shone a bright light but a spiritual darkness was soon let loose. The serpent influence Gods beautiful creation and introduced sin. As a result man became separated from God. Until, in the fullness of time, God sent His Light (His Son) into the world, so that through Him man’s relationship with God could be restored. Jesus was born to restore this relationship. He came from the realms of glory and was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born in humility.
