While You Wait
But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength. Isaiah 40:31
Isaiah 40:31 tells us, “But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength.” Notice that Scripture doesn’t say those who rush ahead will renew their strength. It says those who wait on the Lord. Waiting doesn’t mean doing nothing. Waiting on God means trusting Him while He works. Not rushing ahead, not speeding up the process, but fully putting our weight on the Lord. It means continuing to pray, obey, believe, and walk with Him even when we don’t have the answer yet.
Sometimes God is preparing the blessing. Sometimes He is preparing us for the blessing. And sometimes He is working behind the scenes in circumstances and people we cannot see or control. Just because we cannot see God working doesn’t mean God isn’t working.
God is still God while you wait.
He is still working while you wait.
He is still faithful while you wait.
So take a deep breath. Slow down. Be still. Trust Him.
Prayer for today: Dear God, give me patience when the answer seems delayed and faith when the road ahead is unclear. Keep me from running ahead of You or trying to force what You have not yet released. Help me remember Your faithfulness and trust Your timing. While I wait, continue to shape my heart, strengthen my faith, and prepare me for whatever You have ahead. I may not know when, but I know You are faithful. In Jesus’ name, amen.
