Possessive

Wherever your treasure is, there your heart and your thoughts will also be. Matthew 6:21

What kind of relationship do you have with your possessions? Do you see money as your provider, or as a tool in the hands of God? Jesus reminds us that our heart always follows our treasure. Whatever we place highest value on will begin to shape our trust, our peace, and our direction. When money becomes our security, anxiety often follows. But when God is our security, peace begins to grow in our hearts.

God calls us to give Him our whole heart, nothing can be placed above Him, including wealth or the lack of it. He desires to free us from fear and lead us into a life of trust and contentment. And then as we trust Him, we begin to experience real peace, not from what we have, but from who He is.

So today, choose where your trust will rest.

Prayer for Today: Father, forgive me for the times I have trusted in what I can see instead of trusting You. I choose today to give You my whole heart and to trust You with my needs. Amen.
