Loved Beyond Measure
“But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
As I think about love today, I’m reminded that the greatest love story is not mine or even yours, not even a show on TV, the greatest love story is God’s. God didn’t wait until we had our lives together before He loved us. He loved us while we were still sinners. He saw every failure, every regret, every hidden struggle, and still chose to send His Son to die in our place. Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross made it possible for us to be forgiven, restored, and welcomed into God’s family.
Sometimes we become so aware of our shortcomings that we wonder how God could still love us. But when we place our faith in Christ, God no longer sees us through the stain of our sin. He sees us covered by the precious blood of His Son. Our guilt has been forgiven, our debt has been paid, and we are clothed in Christ’s righteousness. That doesn’t mean we are perfect. It means we are perfectly loved.
Today, I invite you to reflect on God’s goodness and remember that His love is not based on your performance but on Christ’s finished work. Nothing you have done is greater than the grace God has poured out through His Son.
Rest in that love today. Let it quiet your fears, lift your burdens, and remind you that you are deeply loved by the One who gave everything to redeem you.
Prayer for today: Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me when I was far from You. Thank You for sending Jesus to shed His blood so that I could be forgiven and made new. Help me to live each day in the confidence of Your unfailing love. Thank You for Your faithfulness in every season of life. Amen
