Faith Must Be Activated
For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12
When the enemy sends arrows of fear, we must raise the shield by declaring God’s promises. When he attacks with discouragement, we must choose to believe what God says instead of what our circumstances suggest. When doubt comes, we must stand firm on the truth of God’s Word.
The command in Ephesians is not merely to admire the shield or carry it around. It is to take it up. Faith is active. Faith responds. Faith trusts God in the middle of the battle.
Today, ask yourself: Am I simply aware of God’s promises, or am I actively using them? The shield of faith was never meant to be decorative. It was given to be lifted high in the heat of battle.
Prayer for today: Loving Father, teach me to stand on Your truth and to actively use the weapons You have provided. Strengthen my faith and help me walk in confidence, knowing that You are with me in every battle. In Jesus’ name, Amen
