Remember
“… And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 19:20, NLT
After the command to go, after the call to make disciples, after the instruction to teach, Jesus leaves His followers with a promise, “I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Jesus didn’t just leave them with instructions, He didn’t just leave us with a commission, He gave us a promise of His presence.
Jesus knew the days ahead would not be easy, He knew the mission would feel overwhelming at times, He knew there would be fear, doubt, resistance, and weariness, and He knew there would be moments when they would question if they were enough. This is why we need the comfort of His presence. Knowing that the Savior is with us changes everything. It’s a reminder that whatever I am facing today, I don’t need to face it alone. The same Jesus who walked out of the tomb now walks with you into every conversation, every challenge, every step of obedience. So today, don’t strive to do this on your own. Don’t carry what you were never meant to carry. Instead remember that He is with you!
Prayer for today: Lord, thank You for Your constant presence. When I feel overwhelmed or unsure, remind me that You are with me. Help me to walk in confidence not in myself, but in You. Teach me to rely on Your strength each day as I live out the mission You’ve given me. Amen.
