Grace in Hard Times
The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18
Grace is especially vital in difficult seasons. When life feels overwhelming, God’s grace is sufficient to sustain us. A broken heart can feel isolating, heavy, and overwhelming. Yet Scripture reminds us that in our deepest pain, the Lord draws near. He does not turn away from our wounds, He meets us in them, bringing comfort, restoration, and hope.
When God heals what has been broken in us, something beautiful happens. Our pain becomes a place of compassion. Having walked through hurt ourselves, we become more gentle, more patient, and more willing to extend grace to others who are still struggling. Healing softens our hearts and equips us to love more deeply.
Grace flows most naturally from those who understand what it means to be held by God in their weakest moments. Hard times reveal how deeply we rely on God’s grace and how much we need it to extend grace outward.
Prayer for today: Lord, in my hardest moments, You were there by my side. Thank You for being close when my heart was broken. Use the healing You’ve done in me to help me extend kindness and grace to others who are walking through pain. Amen.
