Trust, Surrendering Control

Trust, Surrendering Control
Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God. Psalm 20:7
The idea of surrendering control can feel terrifying. We want to rely on the things we know, the things we can manage. But God calls us to release control and trust in His wisdom, which is far greater than our own. Trusting in God means admitting we don’t have all the answers, but He does. It’s recognizing that His ways are higher than ours, even when we don’t fully understand them.
Trusting God often requires patience. It’s easy to want things to happen on our timeline, but God’s timing is always perfect. When we trust in His timing, we are promised renewed strength and perseverance. Like eagles soaring high, our trust in God enables us to rise above our circumstances with a sense of peace and hope.
Today, let go of the “horses” and “chariots”. Reflect on an area of your life where you are holding tightly to control. Surrender it to God, trusting that He will lead you in the right direction.
Prayer for today: Lord, I confess that I often want to control things, but I know that You are the ultimate authority. Teach me to trust You with every part of my life. I surrender my understanding to You today. Amen.
