Never Changing God
May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it. 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24
I am ever amazed and grateful for the many ways God demonstrates His unchanging love to us. Seasons change, people change, the church is changing, and the world is changing, but God never changes. God is a good good Father. We can rely on Him, His grace, mercy, love and strength. You just have to trust Him all the way. Start your day with praises to Him. Open up your eyes and see God all around you. Look up and recognize His power and authority over all that you do. Look around and see His love. Look over and recognize His miracles. Look around and see His protection. Look under and see His keeping. Look around and His hands keeping you together! Notice God moving in all that you do. God is faithful. He is never busy, not moody or inconsistent. Man can be but God is not. He sticks with you. His love is everlasting.
God is our protector. He is our shield. God is always there. As the Psalmist wrote “So our hope is in the Lord. He is our help, our shield to protect us.” – Psalm 33:20. It is so comforting to know that everything that comes our way has to do through that “shield of protection” before it ever touches us. Doesn’t that make you smile and feel safe?
God is always thinking about us. This is one of the most powerful blessings of God. When you think about it – there are over 7 billion people on this planet and yet God still takes the time to think of you and me constantly. He is able to give us His undivided attention in times of great need.
Today let God move in you and through you and see His faithfulness in all that you do. Recognize who you are in the Lord and believe it! God is faithful through the thick and thin. Thank Him for His faithfulness, His protection and for never giving up on us. He wants you to love Him, because He first loved you.
