The Peace of God Day 18
Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. James 3:18
Have you ever sought advice or direction only to be left feeling more confused or unsettled? Worldly wisdom often leans on self-interest, pride, or partiality. But godly wisdom stands apart—it is rooted in peace, compassion, and sincerity. When we draw near to God and allow His wisdom to guide us, we experience the fruit of His presence in our lives.
Godly wisdom is not divisive or self-seeking but instead seeks the greater good for all. Imagine a world where every decision we made reflected God’s peace and mercy. Now that would be great! How different would our relationships, our homes, and our communities be?
One of the most significant ways we see godly wisdom at work is in how we interact with others. Godly wisdom compels us to approach situations with humility, seeking peace instead of conflict. It encourages us to show mercy even when it’s undeserved and to respond with sincerity, free of pretense or hidden agendas.
As we fast today, let us ask God for His wisdom to fill our hearts and minds.
📍ACTION
Meditate on the promise of James 3:18, knowing that fruit is only produced when its connected to the vine.
Evening Thought (8 PM Theme):
“Appreciate your spiritual leaders. Be patient, loving and forgiving with our brethren.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:12-15
Let us strive to reflect His character in our daily lives, being agents of peace and vessels of mercy to all.
Prayer for today: Heavenly Father, thank You that You can see the bigger picture and not just my little corner of creation. Give me Your perspective, so I can see the beauty I am missing. Give me the wisdom to know which weeds need attention. Thank You that we can tackle it together. Amen.
