The Peace of God Day 20
Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:23
Have you ever received a hand-me-down or a used item, only to find that it was missing pieces? Maybe it was a toy as a child or a piece of furniture that was passed along with good intentions. While the gift itself may have been appreciated, the missing parts made it frustrating to use or incomplete in its purpose.
This is not the kind of peace God gives us. God’s peace is not a fragmented, incomplete gift. He does not offer partial restoration or a temporary sense of calm. Instead, He promises to sanctify us completely—spirit, soul, and body—leaving no part of our lives untouched by His wholeness and holiness.
The peace of God is a gift that restores fully, leaves nothing lacking, and preserves us blameless for the coming of Christ. It is not a quick fix or a superficial solution; it is a deep, abiding peace that transforms us from the inside out.
As we fast today, reflect on the areas of your life where you might feel incomplete or unsettled. Surrender those areas to God and trust Him to bring His perfect peace. Are there areas of your life where you feel incomplete or restless? How can you surrender them to God?
📍ACTION
What does it mean for God’s peace to sanctify you completely—spirit, soul, and body?
Evening Thought (8 PM Theme):
“The power of the Holy Spirit makes us overflow with hope that God will fill us with peace and joy.” – Romans 15:13
Allow Him to sanctify you wholly, knowing that His peace is complete and unwavering.
Prayer for today: God of peace, we thank You for the promise of wholeness that You give to Your children. Sanctify us completely, touching every part of our spirit, soul, and body. Let Your peace settle into the broken and incomplete areas of our lives, making us whole. Help us to trust in Your promise to preserve us blameless for the coming of Christ. Lord, we receive the peace You offer—a peace that is lacking nothing. Let it reign in our hearts today and always. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
