Thanksgiving Noise
Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Psalm 100:1
In moments of uncertainty, worship becomes our weapon. Instead of worrying, choose to praise. When we give thanks we are choosing to believe that God is who He says He is and will do that which He promised to do. You see, gratitude redirects our hearts to God’s goodness, lifting our spirits and strengthening our faith. Then and only then can we join with the psalmist and “make a joyful noise” unto the Lord.
Gratitude overflows from a heart that brings to remembrance all the benefits of knowing and belonging to a good good Father. My faith was lifted as I praised God, and so did my drooping spirit. There was, and still is so much to give God thanks for even if you are going through. Dr. Tony Evans says – “Giving thanks IN, not FOR, is your secret to victory!”
Will you join me in giving God praise today?
Prayer for today: Father, I praise You even in uncertainty. Thank You for Your unwavering faithfulness and perfect plan. Teach me to trust You and give thanks in all things. Amen.
