The Gift of True Peace, Part II
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27
When we face anxiety, disappointment, or uncertainty, it’s easy to focus on what’s happening around us. But Jesus calls us to shift our focus inward, where His peace can settle our hearts. His peace is not fragile; it’s not easily shaken by the world’s ups and downs. Instead, it’s a peace rooted in His unchanging presence and love for us.
This peace doesn’t mean we ignore the realities of life, but it means we can walk through them without fear. Jesus is with us, guiding us, comforting us, and strengthening us. When we trust in Him, our hearts can remain calm, no matter what we face.
Today, ask God to help you experience the kind of peace that only He can give, one that stays steady regardless of what’s happening around you.
Prayer for today: Heavenly Father, today, I choose to receive Your peace. Help me to trust You more deeply, especially when life feels uncertain. Quiet my anxious thoughts and remind me that You are always with me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
