The Gift of True Peace
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27
We live in a world where things often don’t make sense. When you step out in faith, there may be obstacles that challenge what you believe. You might face situations where logic and reason seem to contradict the promises of God. But here’s the truth: faith and common sense don’t always align. That’s why Jesus reminds us to hold onto His peace, no matter what’s happening around us.
Jesus knew that life would be filled with trials and challenges. That’s why He spoke so directly to our hearts. He didn’t promise that we wouldn’t face difficulties, but He did promise that, in Him, our hearts don’t have to be troubled or afraid. The peace Jesus gives is like an anchor for our souls, steadying us when life’s storms rage around us.
Prayer for today: Heavenly Father, thank You for the peace that Jesus offers me. I admit that sometimes my heart is troubled, and I let fear take over. May Your peace guard my heart and mind, keeping me strong and steady in the middle of life’s storms. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
