Heavenly Glory
For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:17-18
I recently read a quote that says “God is not asking you to treat pain as though it were pleasure, or grief as though it were joy, but to bring all earthly adversity into comparison with heavenly glory and thereby be strengthened to endure.”
In times of weakness and vulnerability, it can be tempting to rely on our own strength and abilities to navigate life’s challenges. However, God’s Word reminds us that true strength comes from trusting in His promises and relying on His power.
Let us take heart in the knowledge that God is at work in the midst of our adversity, using our trials to refine and strengthen us for His purposes. Though we may face hardships in this life, we can trust that God’s grace is more than sufficient to sustain us through every trial and tribulation.
Prayer for today: God, I praise You because of who You are. Thank You for your promise to give power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Help us to trust in Your promises and rely on Your strength, especially in our moments of weakness. Amen
