Temporary Sight
For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:17-18
Do you know that God is faithful to strengthen and empower us, even in our moments of greatest weakness? As we surrender our weaknesses to Him, He provides us with the strength and courage we need to persevere and overcome.
You and I are called to rest in the reality that there is trouble in this fallen world, but that does not mean we are to live as broken. You and I can face the harsh realities of this life with courage and hope because we do not face them all by ourselves.
Today, let us trust in God’s promises, knowing that He is always with us, guiding and sustaining us through every trial and tribulation. May we find comfort in His presence and peace in His promises, knowing that His strength is made perfect in our weakness.
Prayer for today: Heavenly Father, thank you for your promise to give power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Help us to trust in your promises and rely on Your strength, especially in our moments of weakness. May we find courage and comfort in Your presence, knowing that You are always with us. Amen.
