Our Marvelous God

Yes, the Lord has done amazing things for us! What joy! Psalm 126:3

We all experience seasons of hardship, moments when tears seem to be our constant companions. When you wake up each morning to tears, and you go to bed each evening with tears, it is difficult to see your way forward. You begin to lose hope. You begin to wonder, “Is this all that God has for me? Will I ever be happy again?” The key to getting yourself out of this mindset of negative thinking is to focus on all that God has already done. When you focus on all that He has done, your heart will be filled with gratitude and then you can join with the Psalmist in saying “Yes, the Lord has done amazing things for us!” Psalm 126:3

During times of deep sorrow, Psalm 126 emerges as a potent remedy for the soul, delivering a message of profound hope. It reassures us that periods of trouble and sadness are temporary, assuring us that God will transform our sorrow into joy and replace our tears with laughter. Importantly, it guides us on what to do during the waiting.

If you are going through a challenging time right now, I trust that his psalm will speak to your heart this morning. Let me tell you right up front, whatever you’re going through, it will get better. God will change your tears to joy. I know it seems hard to believe, but take heart – things will improve. The last Word that we have from God recorded in Scripture is Revelation 22:21– “The grace of the LORD Jesus be with God’s people. Amen!”
