A Guided Purpose
Wisdom will save you from evil people, from those whose words are twisted…they take pleasure in doing wrong. Proverbs 2:12-14
In the quest for wisdom, we often find ourselves seeking to comprehend every twist and turn of our path. The desire to grasp the blueprint plan of life is a natural preference, fueled by our innate curiosity. However, Proverbs gently nudges us to release the need to understand every detail and, instead, embrace the assurance that the Lord is orchestrating our steps.
Wisdom, then, lies not only in our ability to navigate the known but in surrendering to the unknown. It’s acknowledging the divine wisdom that transcends our understanding. Thankfully God has not left us to navigate through tight situations on our own, He has given us His Word to light our path. Proverbs 2 makes a number of statements regarding wisdom and its importance to our walk with Christ.
In the world we live in today this advice is so relevant. We need to pray that God will protect us from all deception and once we’ve prayed, we need to cling to this eternal truth in God’s word. The Word of God is without error and is a shield to those who trust in Him. We should be careful that we do not corrupt it and adding something extra on to God’s word will distort it and cause confusion. As we journey through life, we encounter uncertainties, trials, and moments where answers elude us.
Prayer for today: Lord, give me wisdom. Help me to steer my life on the straight paths that lead to life. Teach me to always keep focus on You so that I am learning from You and how You want me to live. I pray that You will teach me Your truth and keep me from all traps of the enemy to draw me into deception. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
