Always
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. I Corinthians 13:7
The Apostle Paul, in his profound letter to the Corinthians, paints a picture of love that is enduring and steadfast. When read in the New International Version it says “It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” Again I’d like to remind you that love is not a feeling; love is a commitment. Resist the temptation to based your relationship with God on your feelings. Base your relationship on a rock-solid commitment to what you know to be true, and you will find that God is faithful.
The love of God is unwearied and enduring. It perseveres through our shortcomings and failures, never ceasing to beckon us back into the warmth of His embrace. Even when we falter, God’s love remains constant.
As we navigate the intricate patterns of life, may we never fall out of love with God. Let His love be our guide, inspiring us to protect and cherish our connection with Him. Trust in His unfailing love, anchor your hope in His promises, and persevere in the journey of faith. Embrace the enduring love that God extends to us, and in return, let your love for Him be a testament to His glory.
Prayer for today: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for the enduring love that surrounds us. Help us to protect, trust, hope, and persevere in our relationship with You. May our love for You be a reflection of Your unchanging and steadfast love for us. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
