One Step at a Time
Show me the right path, O Lord; point out the road for me to follow. Psalm 25:4
Let the countdown to Christmas begin! With only 19 days left, the festive spirit is all around us, especially if you’ve been tuning into the various TV channels with their Christmas countdowns. Perhaps you’ve caught a glimpse of “Santa Claus is Coming to Town,” where Chris, the main character encourages the snowman to walk by simply putting one foot in front of the other. Life, at times, mirrors this simplicity. We may feel stuck, but the key is to keep moving forward, trusting God’s guidance.
Put one foot in front of the other; follow God’s voice. Trust in His guidance and move ahead. Even when fear creeps in, doubt clouds our thoughts, and circumstances appear challenging, recall the last thing God communicated to you. Put one foot in front of the other and act upon it.
As we surrender ourselves to Christ, His guidance becomes our path. Yielding and letting go transform rough terrain into smooth pathways, and darkness is replaced by light. Obeying God’s voice provides a comforting blanket of peace. Have faith that God is in control, and you will safely reach the other side. Trust the process and believe in His guiding voice.
