Abundance from Scarcity, Nothing New
Then he told the disciples to have the people sit down in groups on the green grass. Luke 9:16
Today’s devotional is a special, unplugged “reflection” aimed at reviewing what God has shown us this week and pause to ask, “what is God saying to you?” Through the lessons of Jesus feeding the 5,000, we see God’s providence working in the natural to bring about his supernatural will. And can’t we trust God is doing the same for us? Yes, He is in the details, and he has a bigger, better plan unfolding. And I don’t want you to miss out on that.
I always come here and share with you what God is saying to us through His Word and with each one I put together here is my prayer, ‘Lord you know who is reading this and what they need to hear, speak to Your children providing them with the comfort, correction or peace they need’.
Often in life we read something new but most of the time it is just a reminder. So today I just want to pause and ask the question – What is God saying to you in this season of life?
I hope that you’ve been reading throughout the week to all the reminders from Jesus feeding the 5,000, but today I just want to pause and ask what has God said to you this week?
I feel like we’re in a time and an age where we have access to so much information that we’re kind of on information overload. I mean how many Bible studies are there out there and you could be doing seven different Bible studies at the same time but maybe it would be better for you to do one and just dive deeper. Maybe what you need today is to pause and remember what God has already revealed to you, discover and implement what He’s already prompted you with what you’ve already learned this week and just go deeper on that and apply it more instead of adding something more, something new, always the new thing, the different thing.
So maybe we pause today and see what God is already saying to us and discover how He wants us to apply His word to our lives.
Be blessed as you dive deeper!
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
— John 14:26
