Unchangeable
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever. Hebrews 13:8
The events of the past have come and gone. They are now part of history, and if given the chance, you would choose to undo them. Regardless of whether the fault lies with you or someone else, the past is behind you. It may have left a profound void in your soul, a gaping hole that seems insurmountable. However, if you open yourself to the presence of the LORD, He is willing to fill that void with His boundless love and grace. God is waiting and He is ready to be with you in the emptiness.
As we delve into the pages of the Bible, we uncover a recurring theme: God chooses to work through circumstances of barrenness, empty wombs, unlikely servants, and broken individuals to bring about timely deliverance for His people or fulfill His purpose. Today, my goal is to help you grasp the profound truth that God’s greatest works are often accomplished through empty vessels, especially in a world filled with clichés and superficial answers to real problems. I aim to share divine insights that not only shed light on why God chooses emptiness but also reveal how He utilizes it. Throughout our journey in life, we will all encounter moments of emptiness. Therefore, it is vital to remember that God can transform and use even our most barren and empty seasons for His purposes.
While the pain may still linger, He promises to continually exchange your ashes for beauty, replace fear with strength, transform mourning into gladness, and bring peace to the depths of despair.
The God you serve is I-mmu-table. He is the Lord. He does not change. He’s the only Person in your life that will always be consistent, that is to say our God does not change. As our verse for today says, He remains the same, yesterday, today and forever.
As I wait before God, I am talking to Him about you my dear reader. God, You alone hold the heart of the one reading this devotion. I am crying out to our Jehovah Jireh to provide you with comfort, peace and healing to any wound in your soul. May the Spirit of the Living God manifest Himself to You right now. Your name is written in the palm of His unchangeable nail scarred hands. Jesus, you ever live to make intercession for Your dear child. Thank You for never changing in an always changing world. In Jesus Name I offer up this prayer. Amen.
Rest in that truth my dear friend. Offer up to Your Lord a prayer of praise and thanksgiving from your wounded soul. He has, is and will always carry You through your wounded-ness. He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
