Stop Settling
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10
When Jesus said in John 10:10 “I came that you may have life and have it to the full”, I don’t think a life filled with worry, fear, anxiety, not feeling qualified is the full life He was talking about. He was not referring to a life full of bad choices followed by regret. Full of soul sucking nothingness. Full of mind-numbingly boring days. This is the opposite of full, it is empty. It is unenjoyable and unfulfilling.
So what happened?
Somewhere along the way we went about fencing ourselves in. We believed what the lies the enemy spoke instead of the truth of God. We allowed lies from the pits of hell to take root in our heart and become weeds in our mind and suddenly we felt empty.
Today are you ready to get full? Are you ready to embrace all that God has promised? Jesus came to give us a fulfilling life, and if you’re not living filled up to overflowing and fulfilled, then you’re not living up to your God given potential! Satan has been taking from you, and instead of settling for it, you should get mad as hell about it and fight back!
Quite simply, get yourself unstuck by making meaningful time to spend in God’s Word. Here are some verses to get you started:
John 16:33
“In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
Isaiah 41:10
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Philippians 4:6–7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Joshua 1:9
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
