The Greatest Gift

For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

I have recently been busy wrapping gifts for family and friends for Christmas, which is fast approaching. I enjoy finding the right bag or the perfect wrapping paper for what I hope are good gifts, wanting to find that perfect gift that will bring happiness and joy to the person whom I have brought it for. This, along with the children’s play at church, has me thinking of the greatest gift from God, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Jesus was born to Mary in Jerusalem. Three wise men brought Him gifts. King Herod wanted to kill Him. However, He was not killed and grew up to serve, heal, and set people free. He finally died on the cross for you and me.
