Sing and Pray
Praise the Lord! Praise the name of the Lord! Psalm 135:1
It has been said that singing is like praying twice. When you open your mouth to worship, you are in essence communicating with God. So when was the last time you sang until you broke out in worship?
We bring glory and honor to Him through our words but also through song. God inhabits our prayer as well as our praise.
Psalm 135:1 starts and ends with praise. Similarly, when we start our day, it should begin and end with praise. Praise is the very fabric of our inner being. As we step its praise, right foot-hallelujah! Left foot – glory to God! If you walk this way, you find yourself in a series of prayer chants unto the Lord.
Prayer for today: O Lord, thank You that You love me like no other. Thank You that You are a God who is well acquainted with all our grief and that You ache when I ache. Help me to remember that in the midst of struggles, trials, and utter heartbreak that You offer hope. I praise Your name. Amen
