Just Praise

Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how I praise you! I will praise you as long as I live, lifting up my hands to you in prayer. Psalm 63:3-4

A few weeks ago for my husband’s birthday we went to a Christian concert. It was amazing to be in such a large atmosphere of praise. Just imagine over 5,000 people saying the same thing ‘Jesus’ – how amazing it was. The difficulties of life trigger wide-ranging emotions within us. But there is one response that can always remain the same, its praise.

Within each of us is the secret weapon of praise. Offer the sacrifice of praise and receive His peace. Sing praises unto the Lord and be free from the weights of this world. When we sing the song joy in our heart comes from the Holy Spirit, whose fullness spurs us to render psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs (Ephesians 5:18-19).
