Keep Praying
Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers. Ephesians 6:18
Isn’t it heart-warming to see how a baby responds to its mother’s loving touch? Psychologist, through numerous studies, have shown the importance of a loving touch. It is vital to the normal development and emotional well-being of the child. As children of God we also desperately need God’s loving touch to help us through life’s journey, and for our spiritual as well as physical well-being as well. So how do we get this touch? Through prayer and praise.
When we are persistent in constant communication with our Father, He responds with His comfort and care. Persistent in prayer keeps our focus not on the situation but on the One who is in control of it all. Persistent prayer focuses your attention so your heart is reminded of the Source of your answer and all your needs is.
So whatever the touch of the Lord means for each one of us today, and not withstanding the multitude of needs with which we all come to Him, the touch of Jesus is the key which unlocks the prison doors and brings healing, strength and encouragement. Receive your tough through prayer. It brings joy, and the courage and fortitude needed to press on, running the race and doing the job He’s called us to do. It reassures us of His nearness. What a joy to know God is only a prayer away!
Being persistent in prayer produces an outcome of peace. Remember, “God can do much, much more than anything we can ask or imagine” (Ephesians 3:20).
Prayer for today: Dear Lord, We need You so much, and ask that You would touch each one of us and meet us at our point of need. Amen.
