All Power
How great are his signs, how powerful his wonders! His kingdom will last forever, his rule through all generations. Daniel 4:3
King Nebuchadnezzar, the most powerful man on earth, dreamed of greater power. He said, “Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for a royal dwelling by my mighty power?” (Daniel 4:30). But he met his match when he faced the God of Daniel.
Thinking he had all power, King Nebuchadnezzar tossed the Hebrew boys into the fiery furnace, yet we know “the fire had no power” (Daniel 3:27), God delivered His children. When Daniel was tossed into the lion’s den, God delivered him “from the power of the lions” (Daniel 6:27).
We are facing a great deal of challenges today, however we must remind ourselves God is able. When all this crisis is over and we see our God has kept us through it all, may we like Daniel give God the glory.
We have the powerful grace of God around us, the powerful hand of God upon us, the powerful presence of Jesus with us, and the powerful promises of God beneath us. To Him belongs all power, might, glory, and honor!
Daniel said, “Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his” (Daniel 2:20, NIV).
Prayer for today: O Lord Jesus, I thank You so much for dying for me. Please help me to live my blood-bought life to humbly serve You and others. To God be the glory, all power today and forever more. Amen.
