Signs of Peace
Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7
The enemy is real and he knows when we are most vulnerable. The enemy delights when we are consumed by the fog of anxiety, knowing that we have lost sight of our faithful Father. At this point, the battle for your mind is at stake. But we are encouraged because the Word of God has not left us empty handed. Philippians 4:6-7 says ‘Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.’
The Apostle Paul wrote the book of Philippians while in prison. He could have been captive to anxiety, but instead responded in songs of praise. His example teaches us that only God’s armor equips us for the battle that begins in the mind. We find Paul victorious, glorifying Jesus and cheering us on to follow the battle plan for peace.
What are you worried about today? Whatever it is, I encourage you to surrender your anxieties and replace them with God’s truth.
