Focus on God  

Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Luke 21:27

While we have not seen the grounds move or the buildings sway but there’s certainly a great deal of shaking going on in the financial markets leaving many people deeply concerned.

Instead of worry or fear, let us use this time to focus. Refocus on His Word and what you know to be true. Maybe God’s using this time to try to get us to focus on what’s truly important in life: our relationship with Him through His Son Jesus. Jesus Christ is the only unshakeable One – So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” (Hebrews 13:6). ‘Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever’ (Hebrews 13:8). We need to put our roots down deep and trust Him from day to day, as we never know what may happen tomorrow.

If you find the news is making you worry or fear beyond normal, I suggest you turn it off. Watching the daily updates will not help you stand firm in the Word of God. Lay your roots deep down in Him buried deep in the Lord so that we can continue to serve Him when the storms are past.

Prayer for today: Loving Father, today’s events is causing me worry, life now seems confusing and difficult leaving me feeling uncertain and concerned. I know that you have a perfect plan for my life. I relinquish all fear into Your hand. Please help me to put my trust deeper in You. Amen.
