Give It To God  

Give your burdens to the Lord, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall. Psalm 55:22

It takes wisdom to tell the difference between God’s voice and learning to wait until God tells you to move. There are times God wants to provide a miraculous answer but He does not because the process of waiting and hoping is a wonder within itself. There is so much growth on the journey to your promised land. Impatience is a distraction. When our hearts are filled with raw emotions we cannot think clearly and that leaves our request to God impure and tainted. But when we give it to God and leave it there, God helps to purify our motives, strengthens our faith, and prepares us to accept whatever His will is for our lives with much humility and gratitude.

Today’s verse says, God will not permit the godly to slip and fall or in another translation it reads “He shall never permit the righteous to be moved” We can find peace on this journey when we give our troubles to God. We have this promise, He will not cause us to slip or be moved.

Coming to God with a spirit of Hope gives us the freedom to live before God and others with deep joy, not anger, resentment or bitterness. No matter what the outcome and no matter how long we have been waiting.

Prayer for today: Lord, Lord give me hope in the areas of my life where I’ve quit believing that things could be any different. Give me wisdom to know the difference between my heart’s hopes and your plans for me. Even when you say no God, I want to trust you. Amen
