The Crock-pot
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. 2 Timothy 3:16
An inventor named Irving Nachumsohn received the patent for the device that has changed the way many cook on weekday nights. In 1940 Nachumsohn introduced to us the slow cooker. From this invention we now have the Insta-pot. An all-in-one appliance that lets you pressure cook, sterilize, slow cook, brown/sear, sauté, boil, simmer, and steam. So much can be done with this appliance, it’s quite the excitement.
Fortunately, there is another all-in-one appliance the believer has access to as well. It’s called the Word of God. The apostle Paul describes four things Scripture is good for: doctrine (theological truth), reproof (leading to repentance), correction (guidance), and guidelines for righteous choices in life. And the answers are guaranteed because the whole Bible is inspired by God.
Are you in need of this all-in-one appliance? Do you know someone starting out in their walk with God? Consider the gift of a reader-friendly, modern translation of God’s Word.
